I’m a WordPress expert who can make your site as easy to edit as a Word document.

I build websites using Thesis, a powerful and search-engine-friendly theme framework. I also build custom WordPress themes from scratch for a client’s specific needs and design requirements. Finally, I provide support on existing WordPress or Thesis sites, and create personalized training videos for clients.

How I Can Help

• Thesis Customization
  Thesis is a premium WordPress theme that’s extremely customizable and built with Search Engine Optimization in mind (see the Thesis site for more details). It’s a great option for clients wanting a website with great design and usability, but without the time and expense of hiring a designer to create a custom design. Typical range: $1000-2000
• WordPress Development
  If you already have a website, I can rebuild it using WordPress. Your site will look exactly the same to visitors, but you’ll have a Content Management System to simplify the editing process. I can also do the same with designs from your in-house or preferred designer. Typical range: $1000-3000
• Custom Website Development
  One of my designers will work with you to translate your website’s brand, goals and vision into a beautiful and functional design, which I will then build as a WordPress theme. Typical range: $2500-5000

• WordPress Consulting and Support
  As problems pop up or changes need to be made to your WordPress or Thesis site, I can provide the necessary support.
• Personalized Training Videos
  Provide me with a list of issues or tasks you’d like help with, and I’ll create a step-by-step video tutorial that you can review as often as you’d like.
• WordPress Hosting
  I can run your site on my preferred host, BlueHost, and keep it updated to the latest version of WordPress. Providing support is also easier (and cheaper) when it is on BlueHost, as I don’t have to spend time troubleshooting with a host and server configuration I’m unfamiliar with.

Recent Projects

Custom WordPress Themes

• UT Dallas – Working for 29agency, I built a WordPress theme with custom features that include multiple content areas and fully editable popups.
• Project7 – Working for 29agency, I helped develop the custom WordPress theme with features that include external content from RSS , custom fonts using Cufon, and a custom polling tool.
• Too Shy to Stop – A more standard, but still very custom, online news site. Always Creative produced the design, and I built it in WordPress. A few key features include multiple image sizes for each post used throughout the site, and lots of optional meta information can be associated with posts (photographer, photographer url, website related to post, tags, related posts…).

Thesis-based Websites

• Harvest Eating – I built a highly modified version of Thesis with features that include a featured content rotator, many different ways of presenting content (most recent, most commented, highest ranked, most similar based on tags…), and a design that matches the brand’s look and feel.
• MLS Online (see here and here) – I developed a reusable theme for them to distribute to local realtors, who can then customize the design.
